The Pegasus class was designed to make full use of the Ambassador class hulls, reconfigured into a more compact configuration and built with additional module attachments in mind. This ship class can swap out different modules depending on the mission requirements. Though this class would be decommissioned alongside its contemporaries, the concept would later be revisited with the Nebula class.
